Olivia brings expertise in regulatory disputes and professional discipline, having acted as one of the principal advisers to a statutory healthcare regulator for many years. She has experience of statutory and independent Inquiries and has successfully defended numerous judicial review challenges and statutory appeals. Her experience extends to more niche public law matters such as private prosecutions for regulatory offences, business rates relief challenges and recovering the costs of successfully objecting to a proposed Compulsory Purchase Order.

Olivia is also an experienced Privy Council agent, having handled numerous appeals from a range of jurisdictions. She is known for her comprehensive knowledge of the procedural rules and special practices of the Privy Council and Supreme Court registry.

Before joining Sharpe Pritchard, Olivia trained and practised for over ten years at BDB Pitmans LLP.

Acted alongside in-house legal function for public bodies in a legally ground-breaking case regarding air pollution.
Provided secretariat support to the Chair and Panel of the Forde Inquiry, a non-statutory inquiry set up to investigate and report on antisemitism within the Labour Party.
Acted for a developer in recovering the costs of successfully objecting to a Compulsory Purchase Order in a long-running detailed assessment.
Acted for charities in establishing rights to mandatory rates relief, including in a landmark case before the Supreme Court.
Led investigations on behalf of a professional industry body into allegations of improper conduct by members.
Handled numerous appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council from a range of jurisdictions, including Trinidad and Tobago, the BVI, Bermuda etc.
