Sharpe Pritchard Re-Appointed to £60m LBLA Legal Framework

Sharpe Pritchard, one of the UK’s leading public law firms, has been re-appointed to the London Boroughs’ Legal Alliance (LBLA) Solicitors Panel, a framework valued at up to £60 million over four years, with the option of a one-year extension.

What this means for local authorities and public bodies

The framework begins on 8 January 2026 and runs until 7 January 2029, providing vital legal support to local authorities and public bodies across London and the South East.

Why this matters

The LBLA framework is designed to give councils rapid access to specialist advice on the full breadth of public sector legal work, including:

  • Regeneration and planning
  • Governance and compliance
  • Employment law
  • Complex service delivery

This appointment underlines our continued role as a go-to adviser for local authorities, supporting high-profile projects, strategic decision-making, and day-to-day operational challenges.

Our commitment to public sector excellence

Timothy Farr, Managing Partner at Sharpe Pritchard, said:

Securing a place on the LBLA framework is a powerful endorsement of our deep public sector expertise. Local authorities are facing unprecedented challenges, from financial pressures to increasing service demands, and they need legal partners who can act quickly, understand their environment and deliver pragmatic, cost-effective solutions. This framework provides LBLA members with a clear pathway to that support, and we are delighted to continue working alongside councils across London and the South East.

Justin Mendelle, Senior Partner at Sharpe Pritchard, added:

Our work has always been rooted in public law and local government. We are proud to support in-house teams on some of the sector’s most challenging and high-impact projects. Being re-appointed to the LBLA panel reinforces our long-standing commitment to helping councils deliver sustainable regeneration, strong governance and better outcomes for their communities. We look forward to hearing from you.
