Nimoy is an energy-sector specialist, with a particular focus on renewable generation and major infrastructure projects. Prior to joining Sharpe Pritchard, Nimoy was Sole Legal Counsel for EDF Renewables’ Commercial & Industrial Solar Division.

Nimoy’s work spans the full energy-project lifecycle — from structuring and contracting to delivery and operation — and includes strategic board-level legal and regulatory advice.

Recent experience includes leading on long-term PPAs for major solar installations, including one of the UK’s largest behind-the-meter projects at a leading international airport, and negotiating contracts for rooftop solar deployment at logistics centres operated by a well-known e-commerce company. Nimoy advises on complex multi-phase solar developments, and supply chain contracts for critical solar components.

Nimoy also has extensive experience in the nuclear sector. He was part of the legal team advising on the Sizewell C and Hinkley Point C nuclear projects – “once in a generation” energy projects. His role included high-value commercial and supply chain contracting and advising on shareholder and governance issues (including in the context of UK Government investment) in support of the capital raise efforts and Final Investment Decision.

Nimoy began his career at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, where he worked on a range of international energy and defence projects, including nuclear plant construction in the UAE, UK-based battery storage developments, and classified defence contracts with the UK Ministry of Defence.

Skills and behaviours:
