Emyr Thomas

Emyr is Roll A parliamentary agent and so is one of a small number of lawyers entitled to promote and oppose private legislation in Parliament.  He is also experienced in promoting and opposing primary and secondary legislation for public authorities and commercial clients, and conducts seminars on parliamentary law.

Emyr carries out a wide range of planning work and advises on section 106 agreements and planning enforcement. He also advised on major infrastructure projects (including Thames Tideway Tunnel, HS2 and Able Marine) and general public law work. He has also written in the Journal of Planning Law.

Emyr also specialises in electoral law, advising election officers on the process in the run up to elections and about post-election difficulties and the discrete judicial processes.

Emyr was recommended in the 2013 edition of the Legal 500 in both electoral and parliamentary categories. Also, in 2014, he was recommended in local government.
