Sharpe Pritchard has an excellent national reputation in the waste infrastructure and renewable energy sector.

Since completing our first waste to energy contract in 1995, our team has advised public and private sector clients on a range of complex waste and energy transactions and high profile projects including PFI and PPP.

We are familiar with all the latest developments in waste management and waste treatment technology, including:

  • energy from waste (EfW);
  • anaerobic digestion and biomass;
  • advanced thermal treatment of waste; and
  • mechanical biological treatment (MBT).

In bringing projects to fruition, we provide advice in a number of areas including procurement, real estate, planning, construction contracts, structuring and funding of projects

Each of our lawyers has extensive experience in European procurement law.  We also advise on dispute resolution and guide our clients through mediation, litigation, adjudication, expert determination and arbitration.

Our lawyers also assist with issues such as environmental regulation, employment law and health and safety issues.

We use our experience and legal knowledge to ensure the best for our clients including minimal exposure to liability, decreased costs and increased profitability.
