Energy

Sharpe Pritchard is a leading firm in the energy and renewables sector. Since completing our first waste to energy contract in 1995, our team has advised on some of the most significant and complex infrastructure deals to close in the last decade including 18 PFI and PPPs. The team has an enviable reputation nationally.

We are familiar with all the latest developments in renewable energy technology, including:

  • energy from waste (EfW);
  • combined heat and power (CHP);
  • decentralised energy;
  • photovoltaic and renewable heat initiatives; and
  • on shore wind turbines.

In bringing projects to fruition, we provide advice in a number of areas including procurement, real estate, planning, construction contracts, structuring and funding of projects

Each of our lawyers has extensive experience in European procurement law.  We also advise on dispute resolution and guide our clients through mediation, adjudication, litigation, expert determination and arbitration.

Our lawyers also assist with issues such as environmental regulation, employment law and health and safety issues.

We work with our clients to identify the best and most appropriate procurement strategy and contractual mechanism to ensure projects are delivered economically and efficiently. We provide legal advice and guide multi-disciplinary teams through complex procurement, negotiation and due diligence processes.

I know we pay for the service and you have high customer standards but just want to express my thanks for the help Juli has given us this week for completing another solar ‘deal’. Would have been sunk without herNick Adlam, Energy Initiatives Officer, Eastbourne Borough Council.
