Legal 500 once again recognises Sharpe Pritchard as a “Top Tier” firm for its public sector work

Sharpe Pritchard’s position as one of the UK’s leading public sector law firms has been confirmed by Legal 500 in its latest guide for 2024.

The newly published Legal 500 rankings also recognise several partners and lawyers within the practice, including Alastair Lewis, who has retained his position in the Hall of Fame for Infrastructure and Emyr Thomas, who is a Leading Individual in Electoral and Infrastructure services.

Roseanne Serrelli has also been named a Leading Individual for Local Government matters, while Rachel Murray-Smith is newly recommended as a Next Generation Partner for her expertise in Non-Contentious Construction services.

In total, 23 of Sharpe Pritchard’s solicitors were recommended within the latest Legal 500 Guide for their expertise and delivery of high-quality legal services.

Rankings in the Legal 500 are determined following a rigorous research process, which relies on feedback from clients, peers and those with a detailed knowledge of the legal market.

Legal 500 researchers also take into consideration the complexity and scale of the work undertaken by each practice in determining which tiers they fall into.

Once again, Sharpe Pritchard has been recommended in the Top Tier for its Electoral and Infrastructure (parliamentary) expertise.

The firm has also been recommended in the following practice areas:

  • Administrative and public law
  • Education: schools
  • Local government
  • Commercial property: development
  • Construction: contentious
  • Construction: non-contentious
  • Planning

It also climbed a rank in the specialist area of Projects, energy and natural resources – Infrastructure: Project finance and development. This is based on its substantial work in the last few years supporting the UK’s renewables sector.

“To be once again recommended so highly within the latest Legal 500 guide is a real testament to the incredible work that our team put in and the high regard within which we are held within each of these sectors,” said Sharpe Pritchard’s Senior Partner, Justin Mendelle.

“We are committed to providing excellent service and guidance to our clients, many of whom are making a substantial impact on the nation through the work and projects they are delivering.”
