Hazelwick School pupils enjoy legal taster at Sharpe Pritchard

As part of our commitment to improving social mobility and training the next generation of lawyers, we welcomed the ambitious pupils to our firm, where they got first-hand experience of being a solicitor.

A group of A-level law students from Hazelwick School have gained a deeper understanding of law at our first-ever Legal Taster Day.

As part of our commitment to improving social mobility and training the next generation of lawyers, we welcomed the ambitious pupils to our firm, where they got first-hand experience of being a solicitor.

The students enjoyed a full day of advice and training, covering everything from how to get into a legal career to networking and commercial awareness.

Our Managing Partner, Timothy Farr, was there to meet them on the day and tell them more about our firm. He said:

“It was a privilege to welcome the class from Hazelwick School for the day and great to hear more about their ambitions within the legal profession.

“They were all so bright and engaged and we really hope they got something out of it and will consider a career in law. It would be great to see some of them again in the future”.

The pupils will now benefit from an online mentoring programme where we will continue to support them as they consider whether to apply to read law at university.

Reflecting on the success of the legal taster day, their teacher Ian Thomas said:

“What a fantastic time we were given as guests of Sharpe Pritchard LLP.

“Our sixth form students had a day of invaluable input looking at a career as a lawyer and left informed and inspired about how to make that a reality in their lives, and very grateful for being given such an opportunity.”
