Radhika provides high quality, targeted and accessible legal advice across a range of practice areas and delivers effective solutions to legal issues.

She has advised a range of public sector organisations on high-value and complex projects, which have included large-scale service contracts and concession arrangements, conducting framework agreement call-offs and advising on proposed contract variations.

Prior to joining Sharpe Pritchard, Radhika spent 10 years advising a leading central London council.

Radhika’s role:

When advising on major Projects, Radhika advises on all aspects including vires, risk, the procurement and contract management. In particular Radhika advises clients on planning for and conducting multi-stage procurement exercises from exploring competition and evaluation strategies, preparing procurement documentation, evaluating tenders, awarding contracts, debriefing bidders and risk management throughout the procurement. She also has extensive experience in drafting commercial contracts for a range of services, to ensure that the client objectives are met.

Radhika has been involved in a variety of projects spanning a number of industries including, Central Government, Local Government, health, waste and ICT, and her wealth of experience means she is always motivated to explore alternative approaches with clients, balancing compliance with meeting the client’s needs.

Radhika has a particular interest in advising on health sector procurement, including advising on health contracts under the Provider Selection Regime, and conducting commercial assurance reviews and providing operational procurement support for large infrastructure projects.

Skills and strengths:

Radhika delivers pragmatic legal advice and support with a focus on providing solutions for her clients. Working across a number of areas enables Radhika to pass on an in-depth legal knowledge of the matter in hand, but also raise ancillary issues which may not have been identified.

Radhika is skilled in delivering tailored training sessions and breaks down complex areas of law into smaller digestible sections of information, whilst tailoring it to the industry of the audience or the focus of the procurement.

Radhika enjoys working with a range of working styles and tailors the legal / client working arrangements based on client preferences, which includes giving opportunities mid-project to allow for comments on working style and whether any changes are required going forward. Radhika’s in-depth cross-sector understanding also allows her to understand the core objectives of each client before taking on board the specific project objectives.

  • Local Authority – Advising on the application of new legislation on healthcare contracts (Provider Selection Regime) to a complex pan-London contract for services.
  • Delivery Authority for Major Infrastructure: Advising on a major infrastructure project in relation to the appointment of Consultancy Services.
  • Waste Contracts: Advising on a number of waste contracts which has involved drafting bespoke clauses to reflect the negotiation of commercial arrangements agreed between the parties during the competitive dialogue process.
  • ICT Projects: Advising various clients, including a central government department, “blue-light” contracting authorities and local authorities in relation to major ICT projects.
