Katherine specialises in public law and has particular experience in advising central government departments across a range of policy areas.

Alongside her work with government departments, she has also worked with individuals on a range of matters including administrative decision making, statutory appeals, policy development and implementation, and the risk and merits of judicial review claims.

Katherine’s role:

Katherine provides general public and regulatory advice to clients across a range of sectors including transport, health and social care, business, and local government.

Katherine has advised on EU and international Human Rights law, information law, litigation strategies, and the application of duties under the Equality Act 2010.

In addition to her advisory work, Katherine has drafted secondary legislation, and supported clients in negotiations, mediations and hearings.

  • Advises the Department of Business and Trade on the operation of compensation schemes aimed at providing redress to the victims of the Post Office Horizon scandal (part time secondment).
  • Advised the Wimbledon and Putney Common Conservators in respect of a consultation of all 44,500 levy-paying households and key stakeholders on a proposal to increase the existing levy. Work involved advising on the applicable legislative framework, the application of consultation duties, and the consideration of responses received, as well as drafting the consultation Summary Report.
  • Advised the Department for Transport on the enforcement of the Russia Sanctions regulations.
