Joe is a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer, with particular expertise in disputes relating to real estate and planning, public law and commercial issues.
Joe has Higher Rights of Audience (Civil) and has acted for a wide spectrum of clients including public bodies, multinational companies, and high net worth individuals.
Joe’s role:
Joe’s practice includes the full ambit of property disputes, relating to both commercial and residential properties, including possession claims, lease renewals, boundary disputes, and breaches of covenants.
He is also regularly instructed in contentious planning matters, in particular applications for injunctions to restrain breaches of planning control under section 187B Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and claims relating to breaches of section 106 agreements.
His injunction work also extends to seeking injunctive relief in relation to unlawful protests, including cases with national press coverage.
Additionally, Joe advises on public law matters such as high-profile public inquiries, as well as undertaking general commercial litigation.
Joe routinely litigates in the High Court and has conducted cases up to the Court of Appeal. He engages in alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and arbitration.
