Aanya represents local authorities and construction professionals, specialising in resolving construction disputes. She also works on non-contentious construction matters, advising on JCT, NEC and PFI contracts, and drafting bespoke agreements.

Prior to this, Aanya obtained a first-class honours degree in Law from the University of Southampton, where she was also awarded a Dean’s List Prize for academic achievement. Later, she completed the LLM in Professional Legal Practice, achieving a Distinction.

Aanya trained at a firm specialising in professional negligence, with a majority of her work having a particular focus on handling Construction disputes through both litigation and ADR.

She has experience in engaging Counsel and independent experts, including quantum experts, structural engineers, and architects, to support complex construction disputes involving issues such as payment and valuation claims, defective design and workmanship, delays, and liquidated damages.
