Sharpe Pritchard hosts Social Value in London seminar

Sharpe Pritchard, in association with the Business Services Association and London Councils, hosted a seminar on the topic of Social Value in London.

The event was split into two sessions which covered the following topics:

  • Policy and leadership
  • Delivery and partnership

The first session, policy and leadership, focused on promoting inclusion, sustainable growth, and the development of social value frameworks. It looked at the progress made in developing policy within the area; with delegates treated to talks from Tim Rudin, Head of Responsible Procurement, Greater London Authority and Lindsay Mann, Director, Strategy & New Business, Ingeus.

In the second session, delegates heard from John Bacon, Business Director, and Neely Mozawala, Social Value Lead, Compass Group and Polly Persechino, Head of Economy, Skills and Employment, South London Partnership. The speakers outlined how policies are being implemented on the ground and the subsequent results and long-term legacies of these initiatives.

Each talk was followed by lively debates and a question-and-answer sessions involving the panelists.
