Plenty of community spirit on show at Sharpe Pritchard volunteering day

A great time was had by all at Sharpe Pritchard’s latest volunteering day at the Castlehaven community garden and foodbank in Camden on Thursday, 27 June.

Organised by our dedicated CSR Committee, the event provided a opportunity to give back to the local community.

Partnering with TeamUp, a Camden-based non-profit, our volunteers spent the morning supporting a local foodbank and the afternoon maintaining the community garden.

Volunteering days form part of our ongoing commitment to community engagement and sustainability. Every staff member has the opportunity to volunteer for one full day per year, with the time counting towards billable targets. This policy ensures that everyone can participate without the pressure of making up the time.

Volunteering is a key component of our CSR programme, enabling us to connect with the communities we serve and share our skills in meaningful ways. It also aligns with our firm’s values and dedication to sustainability.

Speaking after the event Nadia Biles-Davies, our COO, expressed it well: “Employee volunteering is essential for creating a positive impact in our communities. It aligns with our core values and our dedication to our community and giving back.  The success of our volunteering day is a testament to the firm’s commitment to these principles.”

Chair of our CSR Committee, Sophie Drysdale added, “Volunteering not only benefits the communities we serve but also enriches our employees’ experiences, fostering a culture of empathy and social responsibility within the firm.
