At Sharpe Pritchard we are proud to be supporting Neurodiversity Celebration Week. Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. It was started in 2018 with the aim of transforming how learning differences are perceived by providing schools, universities, and organisations with the opportunity to recognise the many talents and advantages of being neurodivergent, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual.
Siena Castellon, Founder of Neurodiversity Week said “As a teenager who is autistic and has ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia, my experience has been that people often focus on the challenges of neurological diversity.
I wanted to change the narrative and create a balanced view which focuses equally on our talents and strengths.”
Organisations can and are required to support those with neurodivergent conditions – such as Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia etc. Ways in which Sharpe Pritchard supports neurodiversity are as follows :
As well as above, this week as a firm we’re hosting two live training sessions on ‘An introduction to neurodiversity‘ and ‘Neurodiversity we don’t all fit into one box’, for all employees. For further information on Neurodiversity Celebration Week please click here.
