We’re therefore delighted that Rachel Murray-Smith, Partner in our Construction team, has been invited to sit on the judging panel for this year’s Women in Housing Awards.
The Women in Housing Awards celebrate the achievements of women across the sector. From rising stars to established leaders driving meaningful change.
Rachel joins an esteemed panel of judges drawn from across the housing industry (see the full judging panel here). Each brings deep expertise and insight into the challenges and opportunities facing the sector today.
Her involvement reflects not only her standing within construction and housing, but also Sharpe Pritchard’s long-standing commitment to supporting the sector at every level.
Commenting on her role as a judge, Rachel said:
“It’s a real privilege to be part of the judging panel for this year’s Women in Housing Awards. The housing sector is full of incredibly talented individuals who are making a genuine difference to communities, often in challenging and complex circumstances. I’m particularly looking forward to seeing the breadth of innovation and leadership coming through, especially from those shaping the future of the sector.”
Housing is at the heart of what we do. For decades, we have worked alongside affordable housing providers, local authorities and central government bodies. Delivering projects that make a tangible difference to communities across England and Wales.
In July 2024, we were appointed to the legal framework for Communities and Housing Investment Consortium (CHIC). A further step in strengthening our support to the sector.

Rachel’s role on the judging panel is a natural extension of this work. Recognising innovation, leadership and the individuals helping to move the sector forward.
We are also proud to be sponsoring the Women of the Future award. This recognises emerging talent and the next generation of leaders in housing.
Supporting future leaders is critical to the long-term success of the sector. As the industry evolves, in response to regulatory change, sustainability targets and increasing demand, fresh perspectives have never been more important.
