Sharpe Pritchard is delighted to announce that, Head of Infrastructure, Nicola Sumner, and Head of Strategic Projects and Innovation, Roseanne Serrelli, have jointly received the Lifetime Achievement award at the 2024 Partnership Awards—the “most prestigious recognition of excellence” in the public-private partnership (PPP) sector.
This is in recognition of their joint infrastructure practice at Sharpe Pritchard over 30 years and their very significant contribution to the public sector and their part in the successful delivery of major projects.
One of the UK’s leading experts in infrastructure, procurement and construction law, Roseanne began her career with the firm in 1994, specialising in complex environmental infrastructure projects across the energy, transport waste and social infrastructure sectors. Considered an expert in public mega-projects, Roseanne is frequently relied upon by Government, public bodies, local authorities across the UK.
Nicola Sumner, who leads Sharpe Pritchard’s infrastructure group, boasts over three decades of expertise advising on intricate procurements, infrastructure ventures, PPPs, PFIs, and commercial contracts. She is renowned as an industry authority in major procurements for regulated utilities and public sector contracting bodies. Additionally, Nicola serves as a panel member of the Institution of Civil Engineers’ Procurement Advisory Group and is affiliated with the Procurement Lawyers’ Association and the LexisNexis Public Procurement Forum.
Together, Nicola and Roseanne have been instrumental in delivering on some of the most nationally significant infrastructure projects in the UK. Their joint efforts and expertise have not only garnered acclaim from the legal community but left a lasting impact on how government and local authorities approach major projects and procurements.

Roseanne and Nicola’s success coincides with Sharpe Pritchard being named a finalist in the esteemed Legal Advisor of the Year category at the Partnership Awards.
