Government launches new Public Sector Contract

The Crown Commercial Service has recently announced the launch of its new Public Sector Contract, which it has developed in order to make it easier for businesses, particularly smaller ones, to apply for Government contracts set up under CCS frameworks.  The new contract is fairly short, and notably uses ‘everyday’ language and avoids ‘legalese’.

CCS frameworks for goods and services will now be based on the new contract, which consists of mandatory “Core Terms”, and template schedules which can be customised to suit the particular procurement.

If you wish to find out more about using the new Public Sector Contract and its implications for your organisation, a member of the Sharpe Pritchard Procurement team would be happy to help. We have extensive experience advising public sector clients on procurement and contracts.
