As part of our refreshed approach to firmwide socials, colleagues across Sharpe Pritchard recently came together for an evening of exploration, teamwork and a little friendly competition in the heart of London.
Race Across the World
In June, we launched the first of our new monthly social events aligned with our firmwide lunch days, making it easier for colleagues to connect and spend time together beyond their day-to-day work.
Owing to the heatwave at the end of June, we rescheduled our first event for Thursday 2 July, where teams took part in a ‘Race Across the World’ inspired experience, navigating a series of clues, challenges and checkpoints across the City of London. Starting near Liverpool Street, colleagues worked in mixed teams from across the firm, encouraging collaboration between departments and creating new connections along the way.
Over the course of the evening, teams balanced strategy and creativity, deciding when to conserve their virtual budgets and when to spend them to unlock easier routes, all while racing against the clock.
It was such a fun event and brilliant to see the new starters throwing themselves in!
Congratulations to everyone who took part, Will, Victoria and Morgan were pipped to the post by the winning team of Ben, Brianna and Toni.
Building connections beyond the office
Events like this are an important part of life at Sharpe Pritchard. As a firm, we recognise that strong professional relationships are built on trust, understanding and shared experiences.
By bringing colleagues together from across different teams and career stages, our socials help to foster a genuinely collaborative and inclusive culture, where everyone feels part of the wider firm.
We are proud to create opportunities for colleagues to connect in ways that support both personal wellbeing and professional development. Taking time to step away from the desk, spend time outdoors and engage in something fun together plays an important role in supporting mental health and maintaining a positive working environment.
William Murrin, Associate, said:
“It was great to see so many colleagues getting involved in the first of our new monthly socials. The event was designed to be fun and accessible, while giving people the chance to connect with colleagues from across the firm. It really captured the collaborative spirit we want to build on.”
Looking ahead
This event marks the start of a new programme of regular socials, designed to be inclusive, varied and accessible to all.
We look forward to building on this momentum over the coming months, continuing to create opportunities for colleagues to connect, collaborate and enjoy time together.
