Work Experience Programme

About the programme:

We are committed to equality, diversity, inclusion and social mobility and believe that a person’s access to job opportunities should be determined by the skills and talents they possess rather than their background.

Work experience is often the first step towards a career in law, giving students the opportunity to experience life as a lawyer in an office environment.

We are proud to partner with two organisations who support us with the running of our annual work experience programme for year 12 students, Prime and the Sutton Trust.

PRIME is an alliance of law firms across the UK committed to improving access to the legal profession through work experience.

PRIME’s mission is to provide fair access to work experience for young people who have least opportunity. Sharpe Pritchard have partnered with the Sutton Trust who have relationships with schools across London to recruit the students on our behalf.

The experience

As a result of the current Coronavirus COVID-19 situation, this year’s programme has been deferred to the summer holiday.

Our one-week work experience will therefore take place in the summer and an exact date will be confirmed nearer the time. We offer practical work experience and a blend of workshops to help prepare students with the skills needed to succeed in a career in law.

We will cover your travel expenses to and from the office as well as lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Our programme for 2020 is available to view here.

Work experience takes place at our London office: Elm Yard, 10-16 Elm Street, London, WC1X 0BJ

More information about our office location can be found here.
