We are seeking a Risk & Compliance Manager to join this dynamic, successful and friendly professional services firm where you can really make your mark. You will be supported by the COLP, the AMLCO and the firm’s risk committee and be responsible for ensuring that the Firm adheres to all relevant laws and regulations as required by SRA, GDPR, FCA, money laundering, ICO as well as internal policies and also be responsible for ensuring that standards including Lexcel, ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 are maintained.

The is a part-time role (28 hours per week) over four days or three days. The role is suitable for hybrid working.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and continue to develop core compliance and risk functions, including risk management systems ensuring they are compliant, fit for purpose and process is followed.
- Develop and manage AML policies, systems, and procedures, under the guidance of the designated AML compliance officer.
- Maintain up to date risk registers
- Be the firm’s equivalent of the data protection officer, responsible for GDPR compliance
- Ensure effective measures are in place so that the firm is GDPR compliant
- Assist with conflicts of interest and confidentiality queries.
- Offer compliance guidance and answer compliance queries.
- Manage compliance escalation within the firm’s reporting framework
- Manage compliance breaches and reporting
- Support the development of an appropriate risk culture.
- Maintain policies and procedures in adherence to terms of business.
- Prepare and deliver training on regulatory and compliance topics.
- Prepare for and run ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 audits and any other ISO that the firm may require, ensuring continued compliance with requirements.
- Maintain an effective business continuity plan and test regularly
- Assisting the COLP and CFO with the PII renewal and cyber insurance proposal forms
- Assist with risk management elements of Lexcel, Cyber Essentials Plus, business continuity planning and any other audits required for the firm.
- Provide regular training on key areas of risk and compliance for the firm

- Proven experience dealing with risk issues and regulators.
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Word.
