The Team
Our commercial contract and procurement lawyers solicitors advise organisations across the public, private and third sectors on a wide range procurements and outsourcing projects for all forms of services and works. Our team also advises on all forms of commercial contract including, government template forms of contract, managed IT service contracts, all forms of services contract (including frameworks).
We assist clients across the country. We are nationally renowned for our procurement and commercial contract work and our ability to work with our clients to find innovative solutions on complex projects. Our solicitors are experts at advising across the public sector and have excellent understanding of necessary authorisation and decision making processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver and oversee client case work in a professional and timely manner ensuring colleagues and junior members of staff are provided with support, guidance and training
- Acts as a source of expertise and specialist knowledge both for those more junior and as a sounding board for Partners
- At all times, exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner
- Promote the firm’s business service offerings by proactively engaging in any relevant sales and marketing activity including holding key events, writing articles, marketing, seminars, conferences, trade fairs exhibitions and involvement in tenders
- Achieve designated levels of billing and time recording for case work and client work to ensure all client activity can be invoiced and billed to each client
- Understand, operate and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, systems and controls to ensure the smooth, safe and effective running of the practice
- Take personal responsibility for your own and where applicable, your team’s continuous personal and professional development requirements to enable personal growth
About you:
- Qualified solicitor or recognised foreign equivalent/ILEX
- Up to date knowledge of and experience in Commercial ICT and Data and practice
- Act as a subject matter expert with accountability for direction on technical issues in Commercial ICT and Data
- Knowledge and understanding of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct and other regulatory requirements
Desirable
- Ability to lead negotiations on behalf of clients, where appropriate
