Employment
We advise on a full range of employment matters, including individual employment disputes, general advice on employment policy and procedure and providing TUPE advice on outsourcing, often with our other legal staff on major projects.
We have advised on the operation of disciplinary and grievance procedures including training in investigations and in conducting hearings and appeals. We have acted for clients in employment appeals tribunal and employment related appeals to the Court of Appeal and House of Lords. We have also advised on drafting and negotiating TUPE clauses in major and innovative local authority outsourcing exercises and for individual contracts and re-tenders.

Acting for a London Borough Council on a range of race, sex, disability and religious discrimination claims, collective and individual redundancies, variations to terms and conditions and unfair dismissal claims.
Advising on negotiations between councils and senior officers within the context of disciplinary investigations.
Advising on TUPE and pensions provisions for major outsourcing and in the context of local authorities’ commissioning functions and budget reductions.
