Transforming dementia care in Northamptonshire
Sharpe Pritchard has been appointed by Northamptonshire County Council to advise on a multi-million pound project to transform dementia care provision in Northamptonshire. The Project builds on the County Council’s strategy “Transforming Accommodation-based Care for Older People in Northamptonshire” which will see the county continue its move away from providing old-fashioned residential care home services so as to allow more people to remain living at home, within their local communities. The Project is likely to see the development of new fit for purpose residential homes for elderly people needing dementia care, closure of some of the older facilities which are no longer fit for purpose and the development of extra care facilities and specialist high-quality dementia care home services.
Projects Partner Paul O’Sullivan said “Sharpe Pritchard is a market leader in Social Care PPP/PFI and we are delighted to have been appointed to this high profile Project, working again with Northamptonshire County Council and its experienced in-house legal team, with whom we have been very pleased to be associated on a number of significant projects over the years.”
