Sharpe Pritchard and 2/3 Grays Inn Square Chambers announce a joint seminar
In conjunction with 2-3 Gray's Inn Square Chambers, Sharpe Pritchard will be holding a day-long Seminar on
Local Government Law & Practice: An essential and practical guide for Local Authority lawyers.
The Seminar will be held on 11 March 2010, at No.4 Hamilton Place, London, W1J 7BQ.
The registration fee for attendance for the full day will be £100 plus VAT, totalling £117.50; this will include lunch and refreshments. We can provide both Bar Council and Law Society accreditation and the full Seminar will carry 6 CPD points.
As currently planned, the sessions will cover a number of topics including:
- Code of Conduct, Bias and Pre-determination;
- Investigations of members;
- Latest Developments in Local Democracy and Local Authority partnerships;
- Well-Being and Companies – the implications of the Court of appeal decision in LAML;
- Procurement: Contractual issues for Local Authorities;
- Information law issues for Local Authorities;
- Public law challenges: Human Rights and other continuing problems for Local Authorities;
- JR – Practical issues.
Speakers will include James Findlay QC, Trevor Griffiths, Alastair Lewis, Mark Lowe QC, Bryan McGuire, John Sharland, Roseanne Serrelli and Damien Welfare.
