Sharpe Pritchard advises on major strategic services project
Sharpe Pritchard advised Southampton City Council on a major ten year strategic services partnering contract. The contract with Capita Business Services Limited was signed just after the Summer 2007 edition of SP Focus.
The project is part of the Council’s vision to modernise and invest in its services. Capita will invest £25 million in the services in the first three years of the deal. Capita will deliver a range of transactional and corporate services including customer services, IT, procurement, human resources and payroll, property services and processing of council tax and benefit claims. More than 650 council employees will transfer to Capita under TUPE arrangements.
Sharpe Pritchard’s team was led by Partners Julia Rudin and John Sharland.
Julia Rudin said, "This is a major project involving a number of key Council services and affecting many staff. The procurement team has dealt with a number of challenging aspects and we are delighted that the project has reached a successful outcome."
