Sharpe Pritchard will be acting for Suffolk on BSF
Sharpe Pritchard has been appointed as Suffolk County Council’s external legal adviser on a major Building Schools for the Future (“BSF”) project.
A team led by Partner Paul O’Sullivan will be providing legal services, in conjunction with the in-house legal team, on Suffolk’s Wave 6 BSF Project, which is part of the County Council’s Transforming Learning with Communities programme.
It is anticipated that thirteen schools in the Ipswich and Felixstowe area will be involved in Wave 6 and will benefit from approximately £150 million of BSF funding for remodelled, rebuilt or refurbished premises and transformational ICT facilities.
Sharpe Pritchard are already working with the County Council’s legal and project teams on a number of other projects, including its Waste PFI.
Paul O’Sullivan (right) said: "We have a long and successful track record of undertaking major PPP/PFI projects and are already working closely with Suffolk across a range of areas. This appointment is very important to the firm and we relish working with the County Council again on such a significant project."
