It is with great sadness that we announce that John Harrison died on 9th January 2009.

John was 54. He joined the firm in 1999 from the London Borough of Southwark where he had been the Assistant Director of Law & Administration and he became a partner here in 2001. He had a wide interest in law, but specialised in town and country planning.

Since May last year, John had undergone a number of heart operations at St Thomas' and although these turned out to be more complicated than originally anticipated, by November he was back home and making a slow recovery. However, just before Christmas John contracted an infection in his lungs, was readmitted and was not able to fight off a second infection. He died in St. Thomas’ Hospital.

We will miss John greatly as a friend and colleague.
