Flagship school opens to students

by admin [January 11, 2012]

Phase one of the £30million redevelopment of Thomas Clarkson Community College in Wisbech has now opened to students. The PFI school was one of the sample projects for Fenland Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

A team of lawyers at Sharpe Pritchard, led by Projects Partners Paul O’Sullivan and Annie Moy, acted for Cambridgeshire County Council on its £110m BSF programme, which includes four other Fenland schools.

Cambridgeshire County Councillor David Harty, Cabinet member for learning, said: “Councillors and officers have worked hard to secure this investment in Fenland’s secondary schools. I am very pleased to see phase one at Thomas Clarkson completed on time and real improvements being made at the school to give students the best educational opportunities.”
